The first counter
The shop opens on Dimarchou Kolla with a handful of family recipes: kormos, fogatsa and the spoon sweets of the island.
Kritikos began as a small counter in Corfu Old Town in 1951. Four generations later we still bake every morning in the same kitchen, with the same recipes and the same care.

The shop opens on Dimarchou Kolla with a handful of family recipes: kormos, fogatsa and the spoon sweets of the island.

The next generation joins the kitchen and the first celebration tortes are made to order for name days and weddings.

The shop is renovated, the recipes are not. Visitors from all over the world start taking a piece of Corfu home with them.

The fourth generation runs the shop today, and our sweets now travel across Greece and Europe.
“We never changed the recipes. We only changed the people who make them — and they learned from the ones before.”
